Location Map
Pristine The Minicoy Island is the second largest and
southern-most island of Lakshadweep and is
crescent shaped. It is located 400 km west off
Island with the coast of Trivandrum, Kerala and has one
of the largest lagoons on the western side. The
Vibrant Coral uninhabited islet of Viringili lies on the southern
side of the main island. Minicoy island is part
of Coral Reef and this maintains calm at the
Reefs lagoon during the violent sea in the monsoon.
The Cartosat-2S satellite image depicts the island
and the lagoon .
