Outreach Talent Day

With an objective towards overall development of the students and to develop a bonding between students of different colleges, Outreach Talent Day was celebrated  on 15 March, 2018. The day long activity included technical presentations, cultural programme and prize distribution Shri V Raghu Venkatraman, DD, ASDM & OA in his opening remarks mentioned about the outreach activities to develop all round personalities. Dr Y V N Krishnamurthy, Director, NRSC in his key note address encouraged the students to utilize satellite data for applications which can be utilized by common man. 23 presentations were made by project students including one from RRSC Jodhpur and two from RRSC Kolkata.  The presentations were made on varying topics, viz., Flood risk assessment of Bhadrak district, Odisha, Assessment of Mission Kakatiya’s performance, Assessment of soil erosion, Estimation of evapotranspiration, Impact of land management practices, Impact of Climate Variability on Vegetation Dynamics, Planning and design of water harvesting structures, Sustainable Development of Paschimanchal Area, Alert System for Elephant Corridors, Study of aerosol black carbon pollution, Extrapolation of temperature data for  Bharati station, Cost optimization of green building, Identification of Slow Moving Landslides by using Differential InterferometricSAR, Seismic Microzonation& Seismic Hazard Studies, Multilayer post classification change detection analysis for GIPCL mining sites, Geomorphology and structural mapping,School Bhuvan enhancements, Design and Development of API for IoT data &Bhuvan& media data analytics using  r-programming. Earlier in the week, indoor and outdoor sports were organized at Jeedimetla outreach facility for the students.  The event was totally organized by students by making different committees.
