Ground Surveys


Aerial surveys at AS&DMA are complemented with a suite of state of the art ground survey equipment like geodetic grade multi constellation GNSS receivers, GPS L1 receivers with GAGAN-SBAS tracking, hand held GPS receivers, digital levels and total station. NRSC has wide experience in DGPS and KGPS processing methods even at long base line distances. AS&DMA over the last two decades has generated and maintains a Ground Control Point Library (GCPL) for processing Indian Remote Sensing Satellite data. A total of 15,000 GCP’s were established in ITRF97(International Terrestrial Reference Frame) coordinate system. AS&DMA now also equipped with a Mobile Mapping System (MMS), a terrestrial laser scanner with 360° camera capable of generating dense point clouds and 3D models of the land features.
